Today, I focused on a project that I've been wanting to do for a long time. In fact, I started this same project three years ago when our house was struck by lightening and burned which caused the letters that I had made to be tossed to and fro by firefighters in order to try to save our house, but then that's another story for another time.
To promote healthy eating habits for children, each team had to create a menu with nutritional options listing nutritional facts. On the menu, they created a “house specialty” which they prepared and photographed. Finally, they had to present this restaurant business plan to the class.
I loved the world of home décor and furnishings. Although, my life was not nearly as glamourous as some would think, it was truly lovely being surrounded by beautiful things. While tough for some, this was always one of my students’ favorite activities because they knew how “real life” it was.
Quite often we would end up lost and have absolutely no idea of how to get home, but then her wise words would bring us comfort, “All roads lead to the same place, eventually.”
